How Promise it Works

If you have computers that you would like to pass on, and want to sign up to Promise it to Rehab Recycle, here’s what we will do for you. We will:

  • take back your unused equipment – just tell us when and where!
  • wipe all information from hard drives, in full compliance with Irish and European waste disposal and data protection law, in a way that is safe, secure and traceable
  • rebuild the equipment with a Microsoft operating system
  • deliver it on your behalf to the charity, community group, school or start-up enterprise of your choice

Simple, Safe and Secure

Through our ID and Destruct process, we ID each unit by removing tags and labels from equipment, overwriting readable hard drives and shredding or crushing inoperable ones. We guarantee the removal of your data using Blancco software which destroys all information on hard drives – this software is accredited by the US Department of Defense and the UK Ministry of Defence. Destruction can be performed on your premises or at Rehab Recycle under CCTV. We’ll even give you an asset recovery report.
