An estimated eight million mobile phones are no longer in use in Ireland

It is estimated that there are some eight million mobile phones no longer in use in Ireland. That’s a lot of phones and represents 800 tones of metric waste, the equivalent of 16 Boeing 737s.

At Rehab Recycle we offer a full reuse and recycling service for mobile phones, ink and related equipment. We do this by:

  1. Arranging the efficient, safe and free collection of equipment from multiple sites. With schools, shops and businesses widely dispersed around Ireland, Rehab Recycle offers a courier collection facility FREE of charge for our clients. We  also cater for home users by providing a free service using  a Freepost envelope so that collections can be tracked safely and efficiently.

  2. Liaising with interested parties to determine
volume of  mobile phone waste and estimating the potential value
of  phones, ink and related equipment.

  3. Liaising with organisations and companies who wish to donate to
charity phones and ink collected through internal reuse and
recycling campaigns. We ensure the safe and effective delivery to
our recycling centre and each charity selected as the beneficiary
can be reimbursed based on the value of the equipment donated.

  4. Ensuring a full environmental audit of all equipment collected, in
compliance with legislation and recycling license agreements.

  5. Ensuring a full audit trail with all recycled equipment logged and
the unique mobile phone IMEI number and ink cartridge. Each
item is scanned or recorded on our database ensuring that
    all recycled equipment is tracked.
